MusicBox was only able to attend the 3rd and final day of AUSA but we were very impressed with this year's event. Usually the last day at a convention is pretty quiet but AUSA had a very full schudule for its Sunday offering. One of the highlights was the Quaff concert. If you haven't checked them out yet visit their myspace at www.myspace.com/quaffjapan . They put on an amazing live show followed by an autograph signing. There were also plenty of panels and guests for the final day. Another strong point at this convention is their staff. We were very pleased with all of our interactions with AUSA staff. Everyone was helpful and pleasant even though by Sunday they must have been exhausted. It is obvious that the staff here take a lot of pride in their event and it shows. MusicBox will be sure to clear our schedule to attend the full event next year.

Baltimore Comic Con October 10-11 2009
This was the first year MusicBox attended the Baltimore Comic Convention and we were definately impressed. Although quite a bit smaller than San Diego or New York this convention had plenty to offer. There were panels, artist and writer signings, collectables and new comics to check out. The event took place at the Baltimore Convention Center and included a costume contest and the Harvey Awards. This is an event for small and independant comics, comic writers and artists. I met some great writers and artists and checked out some new startup comics. I also found out about DC Consiracy http://www.dcconspiracy.com. This is a great event if you are interested in finding new comics to read or in getting started and making connections in the independant comic world.
 
The best part was when I found the Konjoined Kitties Plushies!

MusicBox attended day 2 of Katsucon 15. The event sold out with no more on site registrations available for Saturday. There were panels, screenings, guests, concerts and dances to attend as well as the merchants and art rooms to explore.

We have an awesome article coming your way covering all of our adventures at the New York Comic Convention. Highlights this year included screenings of Watchmen, Terminator Salvation and the new Friday the 13th. We also previewed some new video games including Tom Clancy's Hawx and Prototype. The event was star studded and full of surprises. A full article with pics will be posted on the MusicBox website later this week.
